Step 2: Click on the Apply Documents option in the menu.

Step 3: Select Provisional Degree Certificate (UG/PG) from the drop-down menu and click on the Submit button.

Step 4: The online application form for the PDC will now be displayed. Your name and university seat number will be prefilled based on the details provided in the profile section. Fill in all the other required details as listed below:

  • Program Type (CBCS or Non-CBCS)
  • Month and Year of Passing the Final Semester Examination
  • Nationality
  • Postal/Communication Address

Step 5: Carefully verify the entered information, accept the undertaking declaration, and submit your application.

Step 6: The applicable fees will be displayed on the screen under the title ‘Total Amount‘. Pay the fee for the PDC application using the ‘Pay Fees‘ option. This will redirect you to the payment gateway page. Complete the payment process online using UPI, net banking, or any other available payment method.

Step 7: Once the payment is successful, you will receive a transaction ID, and an email confirmation will also be sent to you.

Step 8: Finally, click on the Final Submission option to confirm your PDC application. Without final submission after the payment, your PDC application will not be processed by VTU backend operators.

How to Check the Status and Download the VTU PDC on the EDDTS Portal?

You can track the progress of your VTU PDC application and download the certificate once your application is approved and the certificate is uploaded to the portal by VTU using the following steps:

Step 1: Log in to the VTU EDDTS portal.

Step 2: Click on the Submitted Applications option in the menu.

Step 3: Locate your application for the Provisional Degree Certificate (UG/PG) and click on the ‘Track‘ button to view the current status.

Step 4: If the certificate has been uploaded to the portal, a ‘Download’ button will appear next to the ‘Track’ button. Click ‘Download‘ to save or print your Provisional Degree Certificate.

Important Instructions for VTU PDC Application

  • Please note that the Provisional Degree Certificate will be issued only to students who graduated in the current academic year. It will not be issued to students who graduated in previous academic years, if they apply in the current year.
  • Students from autonomous colleges must apply for and obtain the provisional degree certificate from their respective colleges. VTU issues the PDC only for students of its constituent and affiliated colleges.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation message for the PDC payment within 24 hours, contact VTU’s EDDTS support team at eddts@vtu.ac.in or 0831-2498131.
  • Ensure all details entered in your PDC application are correct, as errors cannot be edited after the payment is made.
  • Keep your PDC payment receipt and transaction ID for future reference.
